brave new essay
Brave New World is a novel written by Aldous Huxley. You may not expect to understand much from it because it is a old novel, but in fact this is a book that is talking about what is happening in todays world. Huxley describes in his work that the kids are programmed since "birth" to have certain expectations and live a certain life without asking questions. Way different from todays world where we are taught since kids to ask questions. There are certain characters in this book that start to ask questions against there society.
One of those characters is Bernard Marx, he is an alpha. Basically means he is one of the top people in society. For Bernard it just seems like he doesn't fit into this society, so he does things the other Alphas wouldn't. He has tried joining on the sexual relations with the other Alphas, but it never seems to satisfy him and he feels out of normality. He travels to the world where he meets John and John's mother Linda. Bernard goes against the rules and brings both people back with him. He doesn't seem to care that he is breaking the rules.
Something else that Bernard does which isn't normal in his society is that he spends time alone. he likes to be alone unlike the other people in his society. He likes to be alone so he can think freely with his thoughts. this is not normal because in The World State they are raised since "birth" to think certain things. Practically this Brave New World wants their people of their society to be close minded. Bernard will not stand for it and lets his thinking roam. His thoughts that soon turned to
actions went against one of the world controllers. Ending that persons job and getting them kicked out of that society. At the end of the story of Brave New World Bernard is then exiled for his actions.
