Act 1 scene 1 :
#1-the thunder and lightning shows us that it’ll be a dark mood. I do believe theat they are witches bitches I also believe there are witches in the real world.
#2- this tells us that expect the unexpected because nothing is valid and anything can happen
#3- you can lose a battle and also win because you could lose something to you but you can win a new lesson that you can learn from
#4-suggests that there may be a lot of witch craft in the play
Scene 2
#1- the bloody man reports that Macbeth killed Macdonwald and that the king sent Troops after Macbeth after mcdonwalds men retreated. Macbeth walked away alive with Banquo.
#2- he has enough evil in him as a traitor
#3-“Yes, as sparrows eagles, or the hare the lion.If I say sooth, I must report they wereAs cannons overcharged with double cracks,“ this is practically saying that they’re the kings because the lion is the king of the jungle and the eagle is the king of birds so it is saying that they are strong and courageous
#4-the allusion is the battle in which Jesus was crucified it suggests that there is both good and evil.
#5- Scotland was fighting Norway’s
Scene3
#1- the witches talk in poetry to show they are different
#2- the witches tell macbeth that he will be the thane of cawdor and king. The dramatic irony is that we know macbeth is named thane of cawdor. But he does not yet know.
#3- they told Banquo his children would be kings, the irony though is that macbeth was also told he would be king
#4- that they are both great fighters but macbeth seems more humble than Banquo
#5- macbeth believed what the witches told him but Banquo does not he seems iffy about it. It shows that Banquo is careful with what he hears and it shows that Macbeth is a trusting person.
#6- he brings Macbeth the news of him being thane of cawdor and takes him back to king Duncan
#7-Banquo questions the witches and what they had said because they can throw you a bunch of lies.
